he's grabbed the rebound..he turns to run it up the court. He's not gonna get to do anything useful with it, he doesnt know it.

he runs up the court striding out and pushing the ball out in front of him. There's a shadow on him, chasing him from his blind spot.

The shadow is careful, he sprints hard to close the distance but quickly slows to make sure he doesnt show up in victim's peripheral vision. The place slows, the difference in distance closes inch by inch.

"Man on Man on"

Panic, what's going on? It's too late for him. The shadow has copied his pace, they are step in step and he can't hear where it the attack will come from, does he dare to look? does he dare to cross over?

The shadow has done all the thinking, just waiting for the moment...He begins his next dribble, its time to strike.

The shadow breaks pace lunges a few steps forward puts out his hand and pushes the ball out in front. With his new pace he runs ahead and regathers.

basketball rocks =)

So last weekend me and a bunch of work mates did a traverse along the river at Mt Barney and it was really really enjoyable. It's a real wake up call to how you can have a great time with so little. There were too many highlights but here are my favourites one.

1. Surging ahead thru this rock/water formation not sure where i'm going trying to find a way down and out. Trying to rock climb across, slipping and plunging into the icy icy cold water. Sparking the rest of the water fun which would encapsulate the rest of the trip. Which would be basically trying to climb up and down all these rocks and waterfalls =)
doing a front pull
helping out the next in line
2. Watching my mates go in the dead of night back into the water for an endurance test of who could stay in the water the longest. The water was very very cold.. and i suppose i'm a wuss. I call "low body fat".

photos to come, thanks to pierrick's flash

3. Tenting and cooking, chilling by the fire. Enough said. It was cold one night but most of it was fantastic. there are so many stars in the sky.. so so many.
4. Going for jumps. Not really my cup of tea, rock climbing kinda puts this fear of free falling in u. But gotta balls up and go for the jump!
*NINNNJAAA*
..happy place.. happy place...
5. Just chilling, rock hopping and just being in nature =)
what a view...
motion by the camp light
a brown snake!
chilling. just...chilling
6. Messing around. oh boys love to mess around =D
omg.. dont lift your head!
pb and powerade...
there's much to learn and im thinking a lot about how to get a lighter backpack.. mine was sitting at 17kg, which was way over my 10kg goal. Mainly it was the food, i almost brought no clothes and no shoes. there's gotta be a way lighten the load...

althought i'm thinking of packing light.. since the camping trip i have bought a new knife, new cooking set, new vacuum flask, new jumper and new sandals (well my old ones broke on the trip). =D no more i say! no more.
hooray for camping! hip hop hooray!
