I've been posting a lot now that i am in brisbane. Weird. well.. probably a very rational reason for it.
but this post is neccessary and has a very nerdy point. Firstly props to Google Maps Australia for making Brisbane a lot easier to navigate. It's proven invaluable when looking up accomodation, shops, and basically anything with an address. On top of that, directions and hybrid maps, amazing. Big props, i even use it in sydney!!!
Google Calendar has kinda dropped off the radar for me, although i really enjoyed using it, the inability to sync Google events to my phone is really annoying. With my laptop stranded in brisbane i've abandoned this kewl online organiser. Now they've brought the sexy back with SMS notification.
Registering your phone number with Google takes a couple seconds. Now set an event and 15 minutes (or any other time) a reminder SMS is sent to your phone (for free as far as i can tell). Now, seriously how awesome is that! Give it a go, i'm sure you'll be hooked.
