woke up late because of a mosquito. A mosquito that wouldnt quit trying to have a go at me, from 12 to about 3 all i heard was " mmmnnnnnnaawwwwwww". I think aside from nails scratching on blackboards, this is the most brain numbing sound ever. In the end i couldnt take it, i turned on the light and it disappeared. Finally some peace and quiet? the light goes off, the first thing i hear is "mmmmmmmnnnaawww" >.< It's a mosquito, it cant be that smart I decided to lay a trap for it. I held my pillow out at arms length and waited patiently. The buzzing was growing louder and louder and finally after 5 minutes the mosquito settled on my nose. Sharply, i brought the pillow around and whipped it against my face with the most force i could muster without moving my head. ahhhhh, peace and quiet.
I woke up to find myself lying besides a very flat and dead mosquito corpse, and very late for church. buggah! I consoled myself by heading to china town to have a look at around and pick up a few essentials. The chinese are so reliable for them cheap two dollar stores that sell anything and everything. Always great to pick up a few thingies at a bargain =) I've come to realise that nail clippers are a key component of happiness (and hygiene) and it's always great to pick one up for $1. Oh and plastic containers, they are ever so useful.
On a more silly note, me and pierrick went out in the arvo to the suburb which was having a general waste dump day, you know when people dump stuff at the curb and the council picks it up. It was down in this rather south area and we were thinking, man the chances are pretty slim that we'd find something good. I was looking for a bike and a spare cable for my camera charger and he was looking for a TV and a fan to cool our other tv. Well we were right!!! nothing, just general old trash, some new stuff but its not like you can really fit a couch in a car. but the happy end of the story is, we did pick up a foozball table =D A rather shaky, light and poorly constructed foozball table, but a FOOZBALL table none the less. We'll fix it up and reinforce it, good as new =D
And that concludes my kinda first week up here in brisbane. In addition, ive started a food blog, which i hope to use to keep track of what i'm cooking, how much im spending on food and hopefully i'll find a way to waste as little food as i can while maintaining a good variety of food for the week. it shall be hosted here.
ciao!

Last year I got to the stage where I could sleep through the buzzing and deal with it in the morning.
p.s. your mosquito trap is trippy. i think you are more crazy than people give you credit for.
Why would you want to squash a moz against your nose? And you waited for 3 hours to kill it?!??! One strange boy...
